Just one month ago, a study conducted by a team of American researchers concluded that there was nothing more environmental-friendly than the biofuel crops, that could reduce the greenhouse gas emissions by 94% and produce five times more energy. New studies however warn that by transforming the various ecosystems into biofuel crop fields would only accentuate the global warming phenomenon rather than reducing it. According to the latest estimations, converting natural ecosystems into biofuel crop fields is likely to release up to 420 times more carbon.
Are we really doing what is best for the enirvonment by using alternate fuels or are we just delaying what we have already put into motion.

I believe that what we started will not stop at all. The fuels that we use today will still have an effect on our evironment. Not unless we just use no fuels at all and it will stop overtime.
we are just delaying it. If we can find a way that gas does not emit harmful chemicals or cause any damage, the world would be a WAY better place.
I think in order to stop global warming we just have to get rid of all forms of gas including ethonal and other things like that. That would be the only way to stop it and slow it down.
I think that the whole biofuel thing doenst help. It seems like no matter what we use as fuel, it hurts the enviroment. I dont think that we will ever find a pure source of energy besides the sun and moon.

i think we need to stop destroying the environment. period. plat some trees, and don't use anymore land than we already are. there's the problem, too many people and not enough room, but if we use more room, fewer of us will be able to survive because of lack of oxygen, and loss of environment.
I think that by doing that we are really solving nothing, just making a fix for something and creating another problem. I think that it is all good in theory, but in reality will get nothing accomplished. THE END
The way it sounds, this biofuel crops wouldn't really help us. It would just add to the global warming problem in antoher way. Its a way to get rid of a little bit of the problem and than add a little bit back to the problem.
I don't think that it will do much. It will add to the problem eventually. I'm sure sometime in the future we will be able to find something new and improved like running on water n such.
Using these different forms of fuel are causeing the ecosystems to fail faster. Like corn which is an organic food. So there is more carbon in that than whats comes from burning gasoline. So essentially while we are trying to fix the problem we are making it worse.
Global warming is becoming a big problem. I think that people really need to start reducing thinkgs like fuel. I think this will just increase global warming and hurt the problem.
I think biofuels are good for the environment. Burning is ethanol releases the same amount of CO2 as the grain decomposing in the ground. I think these scientists are just coming up with wild theories to get attention.
I think we are just delaying the problem. To stop global warming we would have to not use any gases. Girls also couldn't use their hairspray that they always use too. The effect of using fuels and destroying the ozone is already in effect and will take lots of years before it will repair, if it does repair that is.
I think that we are doing the best we can do for our environment by using alternates. We can't do everything to prevent it because some things just happen on their own. The fuels that we use today effect our environment no matter what, but they need to be used for getting to places that we need to be. If we dont use fuels or anything that is really important it will eventually stop over an amount of time.
I think that were screwed any we that we go with the whole global warming thing. We've done to much already to hurt the ozone layer. I probably wont be around to see what happens when the world suffers from global warming but I think that its going to happen no matter what we do. It to late.

we are probaly just buying our selves some time because the only way we can elimate the threat of global warming is to get rid of all sources of fossilfuels and bio fuels yes biofuels may be better for the enviroment but we are on a downhill slide we need to figure out something else and quick we arent really solving the problems with biofuels just buying us time untill the next big discover and i dont believe we are really making things worse with using biofuels they seem like a good idea but we need to get the world off their addiction of fossil fuels and find a cleaner source of energy other wise we will be doomed within the next couple hundred years
i thinck that if everyone stopped useing gas and and started useing eletric cars it would be alot better exept for farmers they need to use desiel or gas it will limit the chemicals in the atmosphere
