Do you think that Obama should over turn Bush's ruling on the use of stem cells? Explain why.

Busch made a good choice allowing them to do research on stem cells. I think Obama should kind of change it though but not completly over turn it. He should change it so that we can do research on new stem cells and not just already exising ones. That would advance our research a lot.
I think that was a prety good idea of him and i dont think that he should over turn it and that he should keep going wiht it and research even more on it. I think he should accucally expand the research on it and not just do existing ones and do more.
I think that Obama should just leave that decision alone. He should keep the research of stem cells how it is so we will learn more about them. If he changes it something might go wrong and it might make a big mess.
I think that he shouldn't turn it over. We should keep researching it. If he tries to change it, it could cause more problems and other stuff could go wrong.
I dont think that he should over turn it. I think that he should leave us the same. We should research it more and see what it can all be used for. I think that we should elaborate on the on the research and learn more.
I think that he should not turn it over. I think that we should learn more about it. Then decide what to do. IF he tries to change it, then it could cause more problems and such. So, i think that he should leave it the same.
I dont think that he should change it. I think we should just keep it the same. We should keep working on it and find out how we can use it. We should research it more try to make it useful. I dont think that he should change it. How long has the extra credit blog been up because i could have used it?
Just so you all know, Bush was AGAINST stem cell research. The question is asking why Obama should or should not ALLOW stem cell reserach. I personally believe stem cell is fine because in recent years we have found ways to obtain stem cells from sources other than fetuses. This was the main argument against stem cell research when it first emerged and now fetuses are unnecessary for stem cells.
No stem cell reasearch could save alot of lives and is nessacary if we want to do so. It may be able to be used badly but we just need to moniter use and keep it under control is all.
I dont know it is up to the president himself. He can prety much do whatever he wants. If e wants to over turn Bush's ruling then i guess w.e its up to him. Bush said not to do stem cell research.
I say do it to it...The only thing better than a dead fetus with some stem cells attatched to it is a dead fetus with some stem cells attatched to it dipped in PCP. Just kidding, everyone knows they are better with chocolate! Okay that was uncalled for, but to some people what i just typed is less offencive than the idea of stem cell research. Anyways, I say we explore stemcells a little further before we totally put the hammer down on them. I think using stem cells now, even though it's controvercial and not necessarily the most moral thing, it could be the most beneficial discovery of the century. I think that is a price this nation can pay to better the future for everyone. Of course, if nothing works and stem cells are a sham, we can put the fetus back in the closet and forget about it... Remember Y2K? That was a total sham! People weren't mad about that afterwards, they were happy they didn't have to wipe their butts with sticks and pinecones. Stem cell research is the same thing, except we could actually gain something. Just ask yourself this, does an aborted fetus do more good in the garbage, or in the lab being studied. If people are going to terminate pregnancies anyways, we might as well experiment away. Go Obama. White Power
I agree with Bush's opinion on not using stem cell research. However, it could be very beneficial to the research and people in the future. This new research could save thousands of lives and it is already being used in other countries, so why don't we use it to.
I think it was actually a good thing that Bush let them start and do research on stem cells. I think the research "plan" should be changed a little bit to fit our changing country, but i think the plan should still be going on. I think the more research and findings we have on this, the more we will benefit. It will help our scientific community a lot too.
I am actually not sure. I haven't really been up to date on the whole stem cell stuff. I don't really think he should because it will help to create organs for the people who need them.
I think that he shouldnt overrule. He could put some new restrictions on it or something like that. HE could also try and help them with the advancement of it. But, its necesary for him to keep it going. I hope that he doesnt change it. It could save alot of lifes.
I think the stem cell research is OK but it should be limited to what you should do with it. If your just going to produce a ton of something from it that doesn't do anything. He should somewhat turn the decision over.
I think that it is a good thing. It was a good idea. We could research with them and get some ideas. If there is nothing to find then we didnt gain anything or lose anything.
I think that was a prety good idea of him and i dont think that he should over turn it and that he should keep going with it and research even more on it. but yes thats what i think, should learn more and research more about the whole or-deal thing.
No i think he shouldnt no one was getting pissed when bush had it so why change it now. So i saw he should just leave it like it is now and not do anything about it.
I think that Obama should just keep going with the research. I mean it isnt doing us any harm to research it. It might also lead on to something else. You never know. I think he is doing the right thing by keeping the project going.
I think that mr obama should not over rule that rule. it is a good rule because stem cell research is important. It will save lives and help peopel that have provlems walking.
You guys realize bush (without a 'c') was against it. You guys are quite smart!....I say go for it. It could help a lot of people and cure many conditions that people have to live with.

I think he should leave it alone. The research was good so why mess with it. It will just complicate things if he tries to change or end it.

i think it should stay the same. Stem cells are good. Stem cells are my hero.
i think he should over turn everything bush did. bush was terrible. and what is a stem cell.
