People have been looking in the MMR vaccine as a cause of some causes of autism. Research is being done to see if the mercury-containing preservative found in the vaccines can drastically alter the course of a child's development and result in autism. Is it safe to vaccinate your children or not? What do you think?

After hearing this I'm not really sure. Yes you need to get them vaccinated but if it will change the course of development of a child, then I think that we shouldn't. I have mixed feeling on this subject.
more research and testing should be done. THE END
I still think that people should get vaccinations because not all of them cause autism. They dont even know 100% that does cause autism. They should probably do a little more in depth research and tests that would help be certain.
i think that we need to do more reasearch on the topic before we rule it out or we make it a real treatment. Some people are always contoversial on topics like this they dont know enough about it so they get scared and say it is a bad thing with out knoing
I really don't know till it is a fact that it works. I won't trust it right now anyways. If I had autism I might take it because I wouldn't be able to take the pain and maybe people would stop making fun of me. I just need to know more about the effects that goes with it before I take it.
Well, if there really is that much mercury in it, how come it hasn't been found before now? I think they should be vaccinated, but maybe not as much vaccination should be used because of the defects to the child. I mean a little bit of it will protect them more then none at all. But again you are taking a risk if it really does contain mercury or something that's in it that we don't know about yet.
I don't know but i think that it would be a good thing to get. And you would be preventing autism which is a bad thing. I think that the shots are really a pretty good thing because you might be able to prevent it.
This is a very hard descions to make for parents. Because getting vaccines for your kids is essential but if you dont do then they can get very deadly and dangerous dieses. But if they do they can lead to autism which is a very bad thing so i really dont know.
I dont know what i think about this. Actually, i dont know if i know much about this to make a decision. I think that there should be more research done to see if the majority of the people got autism or just a few of them. If it was just a few of them, i think that maybe it doesnt have to do with the vaccine, its just the person's body. I dont really know.
I think it isn't safe becuase for some things there are no vaccines that will cure it. I think that more people should research it before the use vaccinations on their kids.
I think that I if I have children, I will probably get them vaccinated. If I found out that for sure the vaccination was not good for my children, then I would not have them vaccinated. I do not think that I will no for sure, until there is more testing to tell us for sure if the vaccine is alright for children.
If this theory is really proven that MMR leads to the trigger of autism, then its bad. I don't think young kids should get the vaccine until we know for sure. There could be many more triggers.
I always thought it was a good thing. After reading this, I think it might not be so safe anymore and should keep looking into this kind of information. I think it is good, but if certain vaccines hurt a child then those should not be done.
Yes I think we should vaccinate. It is very unfortunate that the children developed autism but the benefits of vaccinating far outweigh the dangers. Children had a much worse chance of dying of any one of the diseases they are vaccinated from than obtaining autism. Plus no true link has been found between the vaccine and autism but I do feel it is a good idea to look into it and maybe find an even safer way to vaccinate.
If it's dangerous, maybe they should start vaccinating people once they are already developed. Eventually, most dangerous diseases will be wiped out. It would be smart to let people develop a natural resistance to most diseases. Giving kids a chicken pox vaccine seems a little stupid. It's the chicken pox, grow a pair and deal with it. If they find out that vaccines affect early development they should pass a law that says you can't receive a vaccine until you're twelve or fourteen or something like that. The weak will die out and it will be better for everyone.
I think they should continue their research by finding all the kids in the world who have NOT been vaccinated and count just how many of them have autism...my guess would be 0 or not very many. I don't think that having poisones stuff in our bodies is a good thing for anyone.
