Well it had to do with the weather and how it acted. If you looked at the radar last night you could see that the weather kinda curved around us also there were like two different systems that hit us first rain then we got snow
When the storm cloud got to our area, it split and went right around us. This means that everyother town around us got snow and didnt have to go to school and we didnt. Thats so unfair!
The jet stream hit when over us and spilt the clouds. It kind of just disappeared. Also I think God wanted us to have school and to have prom, so all the girls won't get mad.
I think the snow actually just missed us last night. There was a chance it wouldn't hit us, and it didnt. I am glad it wasn't as big of a blizzard, though. There were some small flurries here and there but it was mostly rain. Today it has begun to snow a little, but I dont think it will be much.
The weather almost took a curve and it ended up missing us. THe lack of snow in the area will due later in the year because we have low water levels. The clouds ended up spliting around the town.
Well the storm system just changed direction. The southwest wind was pushing to towards us and now a north wind is sending it south again. It is very strange but that's just typical South Dakota weather.
