Burt Rutan took the cloak off of his new spacecraft on Wednesday.
Mr. Rutan, the creator of SpaceShipOne, the first privately financed craft to carry a human into space, traveled to New York to show detailed models of the bigger SpaceShipTwo and its carrier airplane, WhiteKnightTwo.
The vehicle is meant to open space to a new generation of spacefarers who are more creative than the classically trained astronauts, Mr. Rutan said. And that will bring with it a new way of looking at space travel, just as personal computing opened up the use of computers from a military and academic tool to something that transformed the world.

I think that it would be so much fun to see space!! I have always been interested in space, the plantes, and everything in the solar system. I think that it is sooooo cool!! I would like to visit the moon and see what the Earth looks like from so far away. I think that I would wait and see how it works and then I would decide if I wanted to go to the moon in his spacecraft.
I dont really want to go to space. I can see myself getting sick or something. I am afraid of heights. I think it would be cool to see it with your own eyes, but i couldnt do it.
I think it would be fun to go to space, but I probably wouldn't be able to do it. I would love to see all the stuff, like planets and the stars. It would also be fun to float around with the different gavities. I probably wouldn't be able to do it though.
it would be really cool to see outer space i would love to see it but with all of the risks i will pass.
I think that going into outer space would be a fun thing to do. And I think that we should pursue the technology to do this faster and cheaper. Pretty soon our world will need a place to find more resources and more space so we need to expand. Also we might need a place to send our garbage, which some places are already doing. I would love to go to space someday on vacation.
I think it would be really cool to be able to go up in space on a spaceship. It would definately be a new and fun experience for me. It would be neat to actually see the planets, moons, and stars in person since we have all learned about them since we were little. I would probably be a little nervous to go to space as it is a totally different atomosphere and many problems could occur. However, as long as the trip is safely planned, I would be up to it.
I think it would be very interesting to be able to travel into outer space without having to go through all of the trouble of becoming an astonaut. I would go into space if i had the chance. Unlike fair, i am not afraid if heights. ;)
I think that it would be blast to go into outerspace. The only downside is the fact that coming back into the earths orbit and if you dont make it safely you would die. I dont think that it would be something I want to try.
I would like to ride in a space craft. That would be really fun going into space. We could float around freely and do lots of cool things. We could also see Earth from up there too. You could also see the craters on the moon.
I think it would be a lot of fun to go to space. This one girl who went says that the atmosphere smells like burnt toast ha but I guess the only way to actually know is to go yourself. It would be fun to see the sun rise and set and to see Earth from outerspace. If I knew that it was a guaranteed two way trip I would definately go.
I think it would be really neat to go to space. It would be cool to see all the planets and stars. I however probably would never have the guts to do considering I can't even climb a tree without getting scared!
I would love to go up into space. Astronomy is awesome and it was be a pretty fun expeirience for me. To be that close to all of those planets n such would be really cool
i guess i wouldnt mind it considering sometime in the future, not necessarily near, i would expect us to start moving to the moon because of the whole global warming and crap.
I would like to travel to space. It would be really fun to do. This spacecraft could lead to good things such as faster travel around the world.
I think traveling to space would be the coolest thing. All I need is food, a lot of wood to build my house on the moon. I also need to bring a lot of water with. Then I can do what ever I want in space. I see Amanda doesn't want to go so I would have to take someone else to live with me then.
I think that it would be cool to see what space looks like. It would be quite and adventure however, I don't know if I could do it. It would probably be too scary for me.
I think that it would be awsome to see space. If everyone would be able to experience somthing like that it would be awsome. But if somthing goes wrong with it, it may be deadly.
I think that it would be pretty fun because you could see what the planets and solar system actually look like instead of pictures so i personally think it would be fun but i dont think i would do it untill there was more technology out and i knew that i would be safe doing it..
