The American Geophysical Union says massive reductions in greenhouse gases will be needed—and scientists should speak up about it

The scientists of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) warn that greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions must be slashed in half to keep temperatures from rising 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit (2 degrees Celsius)—or else. "Warming greater than 2 degrees Celsius above 19th-century levels is projected to be disruptive, reducing global agricultural productivity, causing widespread loss of biodiversity and—if sustained over centuries—melting much of the Greenland ice sheet with ensuing rise in sea levels of several meters," the AGU declares in its first statement in four years on "Human Impacts on Climate."
Is this really a problem or not? What can we do to help save our environment?

This is a huge problem. With global warming the ice on the north and south pole will melt and that will cause the oceans to flood countries all over. Some ways that people can reduce global warming are by driving less often because some people can just walk to certain places such as school but they drive because it is easier. Girls could also use less hairspray because that is also having a big effect.
I think that this is a huge problem. Global warming is a huge issue. If our ozone layer is destroyed, the temperatures will go up and will melt the ice at the poles and all of the ploar animals will be in trouble. If all that ice melts, it could flood alot of the Earth's. I think that to save our Earth, we need to be more cautious. We need to carpool, not use aerosol hairspray, paints, and inform people about the harmful efects.
This is a problem. If there is global warming, the ice and water can heat up. This can kill animals and fish in the ocean. It could also cause water to flood countries and continents. People can help reduce this by walking to places instead of driving. Also people can make more inventive cars that won't emit those types of gases. Another thing is that alot of girls use hairspray. You could use hairspray that doesn't emit those gases, or not use as much.
I think that this is a huge problem. Global warming melts the ice and glaciers and that creates floods. We dont need any more floods. I know that airisol hairspray is bad for the environment, so we could stop using that type of hairspray. We need to be careful on what we do.
Global warming is a very big problem. If there was no ozone layer the earth would be very hot, and warm all the time. Alot of things would die out. It would also melt all the ice so the polar animals would not be able to survive. To not destroy the ozone layer i think that we should be alot more cautious about what we are doing and if it could hurt the o zone layer. It would be horrible for the farmers if agriculture was reduced. They need to sell the crops for a money, and we need the food to survive. The world would change a lot. Yes this is a very big problem. We need to stop relying on fossil fuels and need to find other ways on getting some energy. Also we need to stop emitting so much CO2 gases into the atmosphere. This is depleting our O2. This will become worse if we dont do something.

Because of all the pollution and harmful toxins being put into our environment, the Earth's atomsphere is being damaged and the temperature is going up. Yes, this is a problem. If we let this go too long without cutting down on our greenhouse gases, then the coasts of all the continents will began to slowly flood. What we can do is not produce so many greenhouse gases. We need to find cleaner ways for energy and change some of the things we use for our daily routines to keep the world a safer place.

They have adapted the habit of thinking that it is the 'next generation's' problem, and they should be dealing with it.
