Well, technically the giving of christmas presents started when the three kings brought gifts to baby Jesus in the manger on Christmas. We give gifts now to make eachother happy and to be giving. Giving gifts now is someting people like to do to mamke themselves feel good and to help others in need.

In the christian religion, the practice of giving gifts is traced back to the gifts of gold, frakensence and Myrr that were giving to christ and ever since then we have been giving gifts for christmas. We give gifts for christmas because we all give gifts for our own reason, for us it is to celebrate the christian holiday, but for others it is to let loved people that we know that we care.

The first gifts that were given were given when the kings brought the gifts to Jesus. Giving gifts help make each other happy. When you give them, they help you feel good.

We give gifts at Christmas because it is traced back to when the wise men who gave Jesus frankincense and myrrh. Giving gifts was originally associated with Epiphany and over time it became associated with Christmas. Today, people give gifts for their own reasons. Another time that people say we started giving gifts was during the winter solstice during the Roman Festival of the Kalends which was the first day of January.

We started giving christmas presents, according to the christian religion, when the three wisemen gave gifts to baby Jesus, the day he was born. We give gifts to each other today to make each other happy. We also give gifts to each other to show your family and friends that htey care about them.

the reason to giving presents is because its the tradition and everybody does it. its also to be giving and to make everybody happy. but people give gifts for different reasons one to be nice and caring but also for religion. it started in the late 18th century. when jesus was born and everybody in the town came to see him and gave them gifts.

Gift-giving started way back in the Roman festival of Kalends. This took place on the first of January of the Winter solstice.
It was required that the Roman Emperor recieved gifts from his administration. In the U.S., giftgiving began in the 1820s.

Well on the website i read it said that people give gifts to remind us of Jesus and how the three wisemen brought gifts. That is just one reason people exchange gifts. Some people do it to show people they care or love another person. Some people do it just to be nice.

We give gifts for many reasons. It could be because of the holiday season and Christ, or it could show someone that you care and love them. But it started when the 3 wisemen brought the gifts to baby Jesus in the Manger. Then the tradition of giving Christmas presants bacame known through out the World. The early Dutch settlers began Santa Clause, so that added on to present tradition.

We give gifts to eachother like god gave Jesus to us to forgive our sns and we mad it a tradition to give others gifts, also its not about recieving it is about giving.

It is to remind us of the great gifts God has given us. He brought us his son Jesus. I think it should be more about church and Jesus, not us just getting presents. People get too greedy during this time of year. We should give more to the poor and people who truly need it.

It all started when Roman officials would give gives to the Emperor around the winter solstice because that was the time they celebrated the birth of the sun god. Christians use the present stuff because of St. Nicholas who gave food to poor people during the winter solstace. It's overrated. Christmas is a load of hogwash.

We give presents for alot of reasons. If you wnat a good repsent you have to givbe other people good presents becuas if you dont then you will get some crappy gift and your entire christmas will be ruined. Although if you do buy a really crappy gift and teh person you give it too htinks its cool then that is a win win situation for teh giver of the gift. They will feel guilty if they dont buy you a really kewl gift that you will like. So all and all give people gifts they will like otherwsie you may get ------------------------------um...well you get the general idea and your entire christmas will be pointless and there will be no point for you to live.

The reason that we give presents is because the 3 kings brought Jeusus presents when he was born. But different kinds of presents that were given back then are given today. Also, giving presents kind of say thank you for being a part of your life and to make people feel good. It makes you feel good because you made someones day. I love getting/giving gifts.

When the 3 kings came to visit baby Jesus in the stable they brought gifts with them for Jesus. Now we give gifts to people to show we care about them and to make them happy. When we give gifts it can make you feel good on the inside.

Giving gifts has been a tradition for a long time. Its main idea is from when the wise men brought gifts to baby Jesus. The traditional idea of Santa and presents in stockings starts with Nicholas. (Who became a saint). There were these sisters who were very poor. They had hung their stockings up to dry, and he had put a little gift in them. And now the story is Santa Claus.

It is based on an old Roman tradition when Roman official gave gifts to the Emperor to celebrate the birth of the Sun God. The Church then copied this idea to celebrate the birth of Jesus. This is symbolizing God giving the gift of Jesus Christ to die for our sins.
