Brown county gives out so many deer tags because we have a big vareity of game around here like deer. If they didnt give out a lot of tags then the deer would be wya overpoplulated and the benifit of them is that you wont be hitting that deer with your car. The bad thing is that when we do give out so many is that some people just waste deer or your tag to shoot a deer.
Brown County does this to keep the deer population down. They do not want an excessive amount of deer. The benefit is to the farmers there are not as many to hurt the crops and eat their food. The draw back is we are not shooting the right deer. People just go out and shoot anything they see so we kill mothers and babies.
